A study commissioned by Liverpool Football Club into the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic has concluded that the outbreak is “not that bad”. The report recommends that public gatherings and sporting events continue as normal.
“I’m not a scientist,” Jürgen Klopp told Soccer on Sunday. “But the scientists we paid to look at Coronavirus say it’s fine. Some better scientists told us the opposite, but we fired them and found different experts and everything is cool now.”
“No, that’s nonsense,” said the German, when asked if his club are motivated by concerns about cancellation of the Premier League. “We all need to come together and show this virus that it can’t push us around.”
“And the best way to do that is by not cancelling things willy-nilly,” added Klopp.
