Philippe Coutinho has suggested that teammate Mohamed Salah would thrive playing for La Liga leaders Barcelona. The in-form Egyptian currently sits top of the Premier League scoring chart, and Coutinho sees no reason why his talents would not also shine in Spain.
“For sure, Mo would be a success at Barcelona,” the Brazilian told Soccer on Sunday. “We would welcome him with open arms. And by ‘we’ I obviously mean ‘they’. I have a contract with Liverpool football club. But who knows what the future holds? It would be an honour to play with Mo in the colours of Barcelona one day. But right now I’m just focused on doing my very best for Barcelona. And by Barcelona, I obviously mean Liverpool.”
“For me, it’s an honour to be linked with Barcelona,” said Coutinho. “I remember Suarez telling me how proud he was when Mascherano linked him, and then Luis was kind enough to link me. Now it is my great pleasure to link Mo. But as I said, I’m just focused on doing my best for Barcapool.”
“I mean Liverpool,” added Coutinho.
Mo Salah admits that he is flattered to be linked with Barcelona, by Coutinho.
“I’m grateful for Philippe’s kind words,” the former Roma winger told Soccer on Sunday. “But do you know who would do great at the Camp Nou? Sadio Mané. He is amazing. Maybe one day I will play for Barcelona with Mascherano, Suarez, Coutinho and Mané. But right now I’m just concentrating on doing my best for Liverlona.”
“I mean Barcelona,” added Salah. “And by Barcelona, I obviously mean Liverpool.”
Sadio Mané admits that he is flattered to be linked with Barcelona, by Mo Salah.
“To play for Barcelona one day?” the Senegalese winger told Soccer on Sunday. “With players like Mascherano, Suarez, Coutinho, Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk? Mouthwatering. But right now I’m just concentrating on doing my best for Liverpool.”
“I mean Barcelona,” added Mané. “No wait. I was right the first time.”
