Jack Grealish has apologised for breaking the government Coronavirus lockdown to visit a friend’s apartment for a heavy drinking session. The midfielder has also appealed for information on the whereabouts of his car.
“I’m disappointed in myself,” the Villa captain told Soccer on Sunday. “I’d like to ask the fans to forgive me, and also to let me know if they see a white Range Rover knocking about. Apparently it was last seen smashing headfirst into a parked Ford Escort. Not important who was driving at the time, but as I say, it would be great to get it back.”
“I’m offering a reward,” said Grealish. “Tweet me information leading to the safe return of my jamjar, and I’ll personally drive to your house with a signed Villa jersey, and share a crate of Stella with you before being on my way.”
“It’s the least I can do,” he added.
