Harry Kane has vowed to score an OG if selected for Spurs’ season opener against Manchester City on Sunday. The striker is hoping to secure a move to the champions, following a £100 million bid last month.
“I’ll bang one in past Lloris,” Kane told Soccer on Sunday. “Obviously it’s never nice scoring against your own team on purpose, but I’ll be a City player soon. So it would be even weirder to score against them. Plus, I promised the gaffer I’d score. No, not Nuno — Pep.”
“I’m looking forward to pulling on the white shirt and opening my City account this Sunday,” said the 28 year-old. “Will I celebrate after thumping one into my own net? No, I would never disrespect the Spurs fans like that.”
“Even though they’re scum compared to City fans, who will always have been brilliant to me soon,” he added.
