Jürgen Klopp has been photographed on the balcony of a hotel room in Liverpool with Manchester UTD midfielder Marouane Fellaini. Rumours have circulated around Anfield of a potential summertime move for Fellaini, but Klopp denies he was tapping up the Belgian international.
“I want to be clear,” he told Soccer on Sunday. “Because the FA will crucify me if I’m caught tapping up again. Myself and Marouane were having sex in the hotel, ok? We were in bed writhing in ecstacy — not discussing where he will feature in my plans next season. The leaked audio about positions was referring to sexual positions. The wheelbarrow and so forth. Not footballing positions.”
“Marouane is a wonderful lover,” added the German. “I’ll be picking hair out of my teeth for the rest of my life, but I have no complaints.”
Fellaini has confirmed Klopp’s version of events, that no ‘tapping up’ occurred at the hotel.
“If the gaffer says we were having sex, we were having sex,” he told Soccer on Sunday. “For sure, it would be a huge honour to play for Liverpool one day. Did we talk about that? No, that would be illegal. So the gaffer made love to me instead of tapping me up. This is normal in football.”
