Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has launched a fierce broadside at Arsenal fans in his first interview since becoming club captain. The striker inherited the armband this week following the breakdown of Granit Xhaka’s relationship with supporters.
“The fans are the problem,” last season’s Golden Boot winner told Soccer on Sunday. “I hate them. Granit was probably a bit nicey-nicey, but I’ll tell these fairweather cunts the truth. Either shut up moaning, or fuck off and support Spurs you cockney scumbags.”
“I’ll take no shit from these self-entitled weasels,” added the Gabon international. “And if Troopz, DT and the boys don’t like it, I’ll run them over in my ferrari while they’re sucking the balls off one another on Arsenal Fan TV.”
Unai Emery admits that he is concerned with Aubameyang’s comments.
“Good evening,” the Spaniard told Soccer on Sunday. “This is not really the approach we discussed. I asked Pierre to build a bridge with the fans, but he has called them scumbags and so forth. He needs to understand that we must respect the supporters no matter how stupid and cross-eyed they might be.”
“An Arsenal fan is still more or less a human being, no?” he added.
