Frank Lampard has conceded that Everton will most likely be relegated into The Championship this season. The Londoner suffered a damaging defeat to fellow strugglers Newcastle in only his second game in charge.
Relegation

“Relegation is a done deal now,” he told Soccer on Sunday. “People are looking to me for answers, but I’m fresh out of ideas. I’ve told the players it’s over. A few want to keep fighting, but they’ll be fined in due course. It’s important that we’re all pulling in the same direction, which is down.”
“That’s one for the players,” said Lampard, when asked what has gone wrong. “These talentless oafs have made me look a right mug. But there’s a wrong way and a right way to be relegated, and it’s my job now to dust these oafs off and make sure Everton are relegated the right way.”
“Can someone check if Mason Mount called or texted?” he asked a nearby assistant. “Still nothing? His phone must be broken or something.”
