Brendan Rodgers has vowed to ensure Liverpool’s 29 year wait for a first league title since 1990 continues beyond this season. The Irishman’s Leicester side have emerged as unlikely title contenders.
“I’m excited,” Rodgers told Soccer on Sunday. “Stopping Liverpool winning the league is a speciality of mine. I made sure the team shit its pants in 2014, and I instructed my players to stand off Vincent Kompany last season for the piledriver that clinched City the title. I respect Liverpool, but over my dead body will the scouse cunts win a league. Not on my watch.”
“Liverpool not winning the league is like an addiction,” he said. “And I say that as someone who knew their way around a crack pipe growing up in Antrim. It’s well documented that my bitches and hoes called me ‘Mad Dog’. If it wasn’t for football, I’d probably be lying in a gutter wearing nothing but suspenders with a needle in my arm and Liverpool would be league champions.”
“Doesn’t bear thinking about,” added Rodgers.
