Keane and Messi

Roy Keane has warned Premier League clubs to steer clear of Lionel Messi, insisting that the wantaway star is one-dimensional and overrated. PSG and Manchester City are believed to be monitoring the Argentinian’s availability.

Class

Keane“World class?” Keane told Soccer on Sunday. “The boy Messi? Nonsense. Fans and pundits see a few hundred goals and they lose their minds. Where’s the crunching tackles? The headers? The 50-50s? All the lad does is score and create hundreds of goals. One trick pony? Half trick donkey, more like.”

“Not for me,” said the Irishman. “If I’d had Messi at Sunderland, he’d have been picking splinters out of his arse from sitting on the bench. Guardiola needs his head examined if he’s sniffing about a flash in the pan like this Messi chancer.”

“A poor man’s Divock Origi,” added Keane.
